Description

Agri-Tech supports many businesses nationally and worldwide

So, whether you are interested in crop production and improving profitability or precision systems such as drone technology, vertical farming, high tech crop monitoring, lighting, sensing or soil management, then this could be the course for you

The Agri-technology (Food Production and Plant Science) course enables students who already have some horticulture experience or a keen interest to develop expertise in a wide range of subjects relevant to the industry.

  • You will learn about the principles of plant and soil science, all aspects of propagation and have the chance to work in our Hydroponic facilities.
  • You will study landscape and garden design using drone technology and imagery, understand how to operate machinery, manage plant propagation and plant displays and learn about planting and identification.
The course also explores plant health and protection and you will learn about and be part of the latest research trials taking part in our Agri-Tech laboratory that are helping the horticulture industry both nationally and internationally.
