Description
A New Global Trajectory: Catalyzing Change Through the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration
The 9th World Conference on Ecological Restoration will focus on innovative and creative approaches to achieving the promise of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. The conference theme – A New Global Trajectory – encourages us to think broadly about the pathways we can take forward, the partnerships that will make this change possible, and the tools we have for success.
The conference will be built around six thematic series that encapsulate the opportunities and the challenges of catalyzing global change:
1. Advancing the science and practice of restoration
2. Restoration as a nature-based solution
3. Multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral collaborations
4. Scaling up restoration and adapting to limitations
5. Empowering and engaging local communities
6. Planning, policy, and economics
Call for Proposals is now open – Symposia, Workshops, and Training Course submissions will be accepted through November 15 (submissions will continue through the existing RE3 portal) – see details here
