Description

This event is hosted and brought to you by the Ecosystem Restoration Camps and Camp Greenpop at the launch of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration.

Ecosystem Restoration Camps and Camp Greenpop are seeking to initiate a dialogue that explores going beyond tree-planting for global restoration in our campaigns and fundraisers. Trees have become the poster child for ecosystem restoration – the preferred and easily communicable unit of measurement of impact and success – but as we enter the UN Decade, it is time for a new unit that reflects all that ecosystem restoration is about.

We’ll dive deeper into what it takes to have a successful, community-based restoration project, and explore a strong, new and balanced unit of measurement that goes ‘beyond the tree’, to support successful and diverse restoration initiatives.
