We are excited to invite you for a design consultation on the “Commonland Africa Improved Cookstove Programme”, a programme of activity (POA) on May 2nd from 13:30- 15:00 CET.

Developed under the Gold Standard, this program aims to provide improved cookstoves to households and SMEs across Sub-Saharan Africa. The initial voluntary program of activity (VPA) has already been established in the Simalaha Conservancy Community in the Republic of Zambia, through a partnership with the Peace Parks Foundation. In this project, we successfully distributed 10,000 improved cookstoves to households. Please see this link for more information on the POA.

Commonland B.V. is eager to expand this POA  to additional communities in Namibia, Guinea Bissau, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Malawi.

What to expect:

  • A community session hosted by Commonland to discuss the project’s design.
  • Cindy Musyoki is leading the Commonland African Improved Cookstove Programme and will guide this session.
  • We welcome stakeholders, experts, and practitioners of carbon projects and holistic landscape restoration to provide insights and feedback.

Confirm your attendance by April 30th, 2024, through the registration link.

We eagerly anticipate your participation in this important session. For inquiries, don’t hesitate to e-mail us via cookstoves@commonland.com or cindy.musyoki@commonland.com.
