Description

Learn all about crop planning: laying out your fields, which crops to grow, how much to grow, and how to stagger plantings throughout the season. Angie Koch of Fertile Ground Farm will share her over 15 years of experience in crop planning and offer tools and ideas to think about when doing your own field design and crop plan.

This event is offered as part of the Ignatius Farm New Farmer Training Program. Educational content is geared toward new farmers, but is open to all farmers who might be curious about a certain topic, wishing to expand their farming knowledge, or in need of a refresh.

About the Organizer

The Ecological Farmers Association of Ontario (EFAO) supports farmers to build resilient ecological farms and grow a strong knowledge-sharing community.

Established in 1979 by farmers for farmers, EFAO is a membership organization that focuses on farmer-led education, research and community building. EFAO brings farmers together so they can learn from each other and improve the health of their soils, crops, livestock and the environment, while running profitable farm businesses.
