Description
In this event, we will be talking to Daniel Christian Wahl about how regenerative cultures can support ecosystems restoration as a way to tackle Climate Change.
For too long now, human activity has been driven almost exclusively by economic success, at any cost, leading to the depletion of natural resources and the destruction of Earth’s most vital ecosystems. Climate Change is being exponentially accelerated by the highly unsustainable way contemporary humans have been inhabiting Planet Earth. Ironically, we are destroying the foundation that supports all life on Earth, ours included.
We urgently need a new paradigm of how to do things, one that includes a regenerative approach in any human activity. Ecosystem restoration is one of the crucial paths we have to embrace if we want to overcome the challenges derived from unsustainable land and ocean use. Preventing, halting, and reversing the degradation of these life-carrying systems will also help to end poverty and increase social justice, prevent further mass extinction, and ultimately inhabit a planet that is filled with vital and viable ecosystems where life can prosper and continue to evolve.
