Description

iSDAsoil provides soil information at the scale of individual small farms across Africa. This is achieved by generating maps at an unprecedented resolution of 30 meters, encompassing 24 billion unique locations across Africa. The goal is to increase capacity in farm-level decision-making.

The development process applies predictive machine learning technology using data from over 130,000 soil samples, much of it based on years of research by the African Soil Information Service (AfSIS) and other soil data resources. The maps are designed for rapid updates and continuous improvement. So if you have your own African soil data that could be used to improve these maps, it is possible to contact the iSDAsoil team to include it into the maps.

For more information; here you can find a presentation and demonstration video on the tool.
