Description

This UNDP tool is recommended by the PEP facility for effective partnership building.

There are many different risk assessment tools available. This tool from UNDP has been designed to help UNDP staff understand the political and institutional context in which they operate. As such it is of potentially wider use to those looking to undertake a first-pass landscape analysis in order to better understand potential risks that a partnership may face.

The tool guides the user through a clear set of questions at country level and at project level, and then offers a range of methodologies and checklists to help develop an appropriate action plan. These include a stakeholder mapping tool, and practical advice on budgeting and data gathering for the process.
