Chipembere Community Development Organisation (CCDO) is a local non-governmental Organisation (NGO) that promotes and implements rural development projects in Malawi with an extensive operation base in Thyolo District. The organization was established in 2005 and registered on 22 November 2010 in Blantyre under the Trustees Incorporation Act of 1962 within the Laws of the Government of Malawi. CCDO is committed to empowering the youth, young women, girls, and children to voice out issues that affect them in their daily lives, fighting increased early marriages, preventing the further spread of new HIV/AIDS infections and mitigating its impact, advocating for the promotion of local democracy and human rights, gender equality and enhancing young people’s active participation in the socio-economic development of the nation through lobbying and advocacy, capacity building, research, documentation, and policy dialogue

CCDO’s Mission is to promote interventions that build the well-being of underprivileged women, children, and youth through capacity development, advocacy, and impact mitigation

CCDO’s Core Values are compassion and Commitment, Accountability, Justice, Participation, Mutual Transparency and Accountability, Mutual Respect, Professionalism, Creativity, teamwork, Empathy, and Gender Sensitivity, these underpin CCDO’s approaches; working in partnership, community-led development, and integrated solutions for socio-economic development.
