Description

Grasslands are vast landscapes that have the capacity, if properly managed, to address some of humanity’s most urgent challenges such as water and food insecurity, poverty, and climate change.

Currently, grasslands are desertifying at alarming rates.

Holistic Management of grasslands can result in the regeneration of soils, increased productivity and biological diversity, as well as economic and social well-being.

At the Savory Institute, it’s our mission to regenerate these critically important and fragile grasslands.

Our big, audacious goal

Small incremental change won’t solve our global problems. We’re on the brink of affecting major change at the landscape level, and to that end our strategy seeks to influence the management of 1 billion hectares by 2025 through the establishment of 100 Hubs.

Savory Hubs are independently-owned and operated regional learning centers, bringing the power of Holistic Management to members of their community through their own unique impact plan, and supported by the Savory Institute and their fellow Hubs. Become a hub
